🌴 Our Why: Preserving Fa‘a Samoa
At the heart of Taupou Ma LeAloali’i Siva Academy is a mission to preserve, celebrate, and pass on the values of Fa’a Samoa - the Samoan way of life. Our dance, language, songs, and ceremonies are more than tradition - they are our living identity.
Through our academy, we share the teachings passed down by our elders:
Respect (Fa’aaloalo)
Service (Tautua)
Honor (Mamalu)
Family (Aiga)
👑 The Meaning Behind Taupou & Aloali‘i
Our academy is named after the traditional high-ranking children of the paramount chief of the village:
Taupou - Princess, symbol or grace and village pride.
Aloali’i - Prince, trained in service and leadership.
By naming our academy after these roles, we remind each student that they are a part of a legacy - with dignity, responsibility, and cultural power.

🌺Why Dance Matters
Traditional Samoan siva is not only movement - it is storytelling, it is history, it is sacred.
Siva Samoa - expresses grace, humility and identity.
Fa’ataupati (Slap Dance) - represents unity, strength, and warrior discipline.
Sasa - demonstrates coordination and community rhythm.
Taualuga - is a symbol or honor, led by the Taupou or Manaia (Aloali’i)
Each movement has purpose - each performance teaches pride and presence.
