About the Youth Program
Our youth dance program introduces students to the heart of Samoan culture through traditional dance, etiquette, language, and storytelling. We nurture discipline, respect and confidence in a joyful and supportive enviornment.
Girls Classes : Lalelei (4-8 years old) ; Tausala (9-11 years old) ; Tamaita’i (12-17 years old)
Boys Class: LeAloali’i (5 to 17 years old)
No prior experience needed - all are welcome.
🎶 What Students Learn
Basic & Intermediate Siva Samoa steps and movements
Samoan cultural values, language, and protocol
Proper use of cultural implements (ie. ie lavalava, ula, nifo oti, etc).
Introduction to taupou & manaia (aloali’i) roles
Respect for elders and performance etiquette
Group dances for community and seasonal performances.

Cultural Celebrations and Collaborations
In-Studio family presentations
Performing helps dancers build pride, confidence, and cultural understanding.
