About the Youth Program

Our youth dance program introduces students to the heart of Samoan culture through traditional dance, etiquette, language, and storytelling. We nurture discipline, respect and confidence in a joyful and supportive enviornment.

Girls Classes : Lalelei (4-8 years old) ; Tausala (9-11 years old) ; Tamaita’i (12-17 years old)

Boys Class: LeAloali’i (5 to 17 years old)

No prior experience needed - all are welcome.

🎶 What Students Learn

  • Basic & Intermediate Siva Samoa steps and movements

  • Samoan cultural values, language, and protocol

  • Proper use of cultural implements (ie. ie lavalava, ula, nifo oti, etc).

  • Introduction to taupou & manaia (aloali’i) roles

  • Respect for elders and performance etiquette

  • Group dances for community and seasonal performances.

🎭 Performance Opportunities

Students will participate in:

  • Community events and outreach

  • Annual Siva Showcase

  • Cultural Celebrations and Collaborations

  • In-Studio family presentations

Performing helps dancers build pride, confidence, and cultural understanding.
